Chardonnay Thanks Bob! Dry

In 1978 the first Chardonnay in Germany was planted on our island, initiated by Robert Mondavi. Hence our naming: Thanks Bob! With this final greeting, Prince Nicholas Frederick of Prussia thanked Robert Mondavi for his valuable recommendation to plant this grape variety, which was not yet permitted at the time, on the Mariannenaue. Chardonnay is a frost-sensitive and lime-loving grape variety that ripens early. It finds perfect growing conditions on Mariannenaue Island and can mature optimally. Fermentation took place in 600 liter oak barrels and the wine was on the full lees for one year. This wine presents a varied aromatic palette with mineral hints, well-integrated acidity and plenty of potential.
